Life: ceramic pot

Size: 26 cm x 17 cm, holding capacity ca. 3 litre, mouth approx. 8 cm, weight ca. 1,6 kg. Glazed ceramic pot I made with great teacher Paula Ruuttunen. It was one main piece in my exhibition Body diary. The ash sapling is now happily in the ground growing so the price does not include the tree. This pottery together with the miniature urns represented forest graveyard I wish to have in Finland. So the past people will grow in to new life as forest. This piece was the last I signed when my name was Manninen, I didn’t planned it but it is nice that it represents also my new era as an Pölhö. Pölhö means hallow tree in Finnish language.
